it seems like most people got higher score on SAT than on PSAT...
but i scored 226 (CR 68 M 80 W 78) on PSAT, and then got 2150 (cr 730, m 720, W 700) in Jan 28th SAT......._

WAY higher, I got.

To be exact, I got 160 points higher. The PSAT is evil.

I got a 218 on the PSAT and then a 2150 on the Jan. SAT.

Weird. Oh well, I'm retaking it anyway.

How does that affect Natl Merit? I know you have to take the SAT to validate your PSAT scores to qualify for finalist or whatever. If your SAT score is lower than your PSAT, does that mean you don't get it?

Last year, I had a 219 but only scored a 2120 on my SAT and this year I got a 225 but only scored 2220 on my SAT ._.

(sigh) yeah I know >>; most of my friends do better on the SAT as compared to the PSAT.. I wish I could do the same

blah.. atleast you guys are somewhere in the range.. 1950 on the sat and 218 on the psat.. since this was my frist time taking it,hoping it was some kind of fluke and i was having a bad day, and im gonna study my butt off and pull up my score.. lolol

barely
202/2010

Way higher. PSAT was very off.

213 - PSAT
2270 - SAT

But don't worry. Some of the smartest people in my grade went down 10(0) or even more points from PSAT to SAT's. I guess I went up because I didn't study for the PSAT at all, so it was completely my knowledge. For the SAT I studied a lot. That might hava had something to do with it.

201 Sophomore PSAT
2220 Junior Year SAT

see.. psat's are lower for most people than sat.. arggg, i dont understand why i did sooo bad on my sat.. blah.. I pray that it was because it was my first time

Don't worry. It isn't just you. I got 216 on PSAT and 2150 on the January SAT - I thought the SAT was harder.

Way higher...130 points higher...

humongous difference:
junior psat- 1840
junior sat - 2160
... A difference of 320 pts.

jegan my scores were EXACTLY the same!! 218 down to 2150--still pretty close i guess. i know a lot of people at school whose SATs were lower than PSATs.

my scores were crap, it actually went down

psat - 213
sat - 2080

hmm.....i was just so unaccustomed to the rather long time SAT takes...and the essay made me so nervous that i bombed my math section..(its only my second year in US and speaking English) i hate SAT anyway...

Went up a decent amount.... (PSAT CR had really hard vocab in my opinion...)

PSAT: 211.
(CR:64, M:77, W:70)
SAT: 2200!
(CR:700, M:800, W:700)

This was last year, but:
PSAT: 228
SAT: 2360

PSAT: 232
SAT: 2150

Does this mean I'm out of national merit?

Still can not explain it..my d actually came out of the SAT smiling, thinking she did well....PSAT 217, SAT 1830...have to wait to see the whole test...maybe, she filled in the bubbles erroneously (fool's hope) but quite unlikely, lower scores across the board, not ill, not nervous...very devastating!

yeah, i know alot of people that got a lower score on the January SAT than on their PSAT... not me thankfully! =)
