nope, but damn I would love to take you :)

anyone else, who actually has gone through this?

why not list your GPA and LSAT- that may help

The soft factors seem quite strong, but they typically only come into play for borderline cases. You may be one such case. Your GPA (assuming you meant all A's, not A-'s) should be just fine for H and Y. The LSAT, however, being in the 97th percentile, is not quite competitive. I don't have a scale on hand, but off the top of my head, I'm guessing that means it's below a 170. If so, it'll be tough for you. Law school admissions is primarily a numbers game, as even just a few minutes of research on boards like this will tell you. If you could boost that score by a few points, I'd say you're a shoe-in.

And to address the thread title's question, I did get into HLS. I'm deferring for a year until 2009.

so you have a 168 and like a 3.96? You'd get into a CCN school definitely.

PS: Someone on LSN got into H with a 169, 4.0 from an Ivy. So it's definitely worth applying.

Thank you :)

Dose the essay sound too clich

A 97th percentile LSAT score is like 167-168, which is not anywhere near competitive for H/Y unless you're a minority.

Obviously there's no way to assess the cliche-ness of an essay from a nine-word description.

If I was to compare my stats to yours, would there be any difference expect the LSAT score?

I am sweating just thinking about HLS and Yale >_<"

I have no clue what is my safety school :(

If I dont get into neither, I would try to get into Cornell or Duke...?

I will try to raise the LSAT, it was my dream to become a lawyer from Yale since I was 8 years old.
