I got an email addressed to my counsler and myself reminding us that they need quarter grades to make a decision and to make sure it's send as soon as possible because they're going into commitee next week. It never specifically said that I didn't have my quarter grades in (I sent them weeks ago and there has been a green checkmark that they have my quarter grades on my Duke checklist) but I don't really know what to make of it. Should I send my grades again even though there is a checkmark that they are in on the website?

there is a required form that you must send in. I did not get the email however.

When did you get that email?

I did send in that form (several weeks ago) and the record on the Duke info thingy says that they have my grades. Yet I got an email for some reason… I got the email 2 or 3 days ago…

I did not send that form in and did not get an email. What should I do? I did send my grades, however.

I have not received such an e-mail yet, but I see one coming in the near future because none of my senior year grades have been sent. My school operates on a two-semester system. In the middle of the semester we do get grades just to show where we are midway through…so those are the grades being sent to Duke. It SUCKS because my grades at the end of the semester are always higher since EVERYTHING including final exams is factored in…“quarter” grades (which don’t even appear on our transcript) are always worse because they only account for half a semester and it’s all super abrupt. It’s sooo lame that Duke requires them even from students who go to schools where there are only two semesters.

OP, I would call the admissions office and explain the situation. That seems weird that it’s checked…

^ yea I would not send another copy in if you are definitely sure you turned one in already. That’s what admissions emphasizes. You must talk to the ad com about that. They’ll have it fixed in a jiffy. If they really didn’t receive any of the quarter grades, then it is best to send the info in; i’m sure they’ll understand.

The form says you can send in your report card in lieu of the sheet, so i think you would be fine if you didn’t get an email
