did anybody find the math section a little bit harder?

Its 20 I believe. You have 5 colors. Two combination Each color can make 4 combination. So 5*4=20. Remember, red, green is a different pattern than green, red (it asked specifically different patterns).

join the 1-wrong-on-math club :(

its 20...

wow i cant believe i didnt know -.75 -(-.5) = -.25...

i dont remember it saying specifically different patterns. oh well. more like 20 wrong on the math club for me. :( well, not 20, but it might as well be.

its 20 because you do 5C2 to get 10. but you have to multiply that by 2 because it could work for either the two sides or the other part.

i think i actually got that one right, with the .75 and all. the more i think about it the more i think i didnt screw it up lol

Oh..damn..so two side sections have to be same color?
Did they say that? damn it..

oh and what about the one with the triangles and the rectangles.. i was getting mixed answers on that one.. i got 50 then i would get 50sqrt(2) then go back to 50

I'm so ****ed. the last problem on the math grid section was so easy, but I panicked and couldn't think. I put 1.8 instead of 4.8

it was 4.2, so it wouldn't have mattered either way

sushi, well nothing could be negative so plug and chug worked for me, lol.

hm. it was a tad bit hard too, i thought.
the sequence prob was by 20s, right?
and the overlapping triangles? what was the answer for that.

yeah, the math was kinda hardd..

"it was 4.2, so it wouldn't have mattered either way"

lmao...

What was the answer for the length of line segment BC supposed to be between? (What range of values?)

it could be a ride range of numbers (well, not "wide" but you know what i mean) that fit the requirements. i don't remember the exact values but i think i put something near one.

yeah, i believe it's near one

I was between 1.8 and 4.2

but because the answer cant be negative... -3-1.2=-4.2 and 3-1.2=1.8

I chose 1.8

why is it 4.2?

that came out to -1.8 according to the ti89

k = 4/9, check your work

it had to be 4.2, i mean look a the problem, it was like (x+3)(x-3).. and it couldnt have been negative

NO I mean the one that gave A,B,C,D,E there was a certain inequality that gave the range of numbers BC could be between

I found the 4.2 to be really easy... I spent some time aimlessy finding k and then realizing it wasn't nessicary. Oh I put 1 on that other one.
