Did anybody get scholarships yet?

I checked Wolverine access and I only got a 5k loan as far as need based, but I’m hoping for a engineering scholarship

I got a $1500 regents scholarship in my letter with a 5500 loan are you in state or out of state

D got a President Scholarship Award, small grant and $3500 loan so far. She is hoping for an engineering scholarship as well.

@Eeeee127 im in PA.

@ericzimm how much is the president scholarship? are you in state?

$15k/yr. She is OOS TX, Engineering.

D’s U Mich account shows $16K/year in grants and scholarships and $11K in loans. Where can I see the name of the scholarship? Did not receive official letter yet. OOS, Nursing

@vskr123 in the View Award Summary.

@vskr123 I forgot to add when I tried to find the scholarship on UM’s website, nothing came back. I called and they said it was a new one this year, so that is why there is not any information about it on the website.

@ericzimm No, there is no name. it just says “University of Michigan Grant” and in the shopping sheet link, shows as “grants and scholarships from your School”.

@bskr123. Thanks, I had not ever clicked that shopping sheet link. If the summary does not show a scholarship it might be all a grant.

Thanks ericzimm.

Official award notice has been posted in my D’s wolverine access.$19,500 in grants and scholarships. OOS.

Where should I look for merit scholarships? Is it under the same tab as financial aid? Or has merit even been awarded yet?

Some merit scholarship have been awarded and it’s under financial aid

My experience with engineering is that they very rarely give non need based scholarships to anybody who is not a minority student. I as an in state student and Asian male got nothing, despite having a good GPA for engineering.

@umcoe16 Do you think I might have a chance for scholarships even though I’m an Asian male too? 4.0 UW GPA(IB Diploma) 36 ACT, good math/science extracurriculars(awards and leadership as well). Thanks in advance.

We got a letter about my daughter’s departmental (biology/LSA) scholarship (5K per year for 4 years)…around Easter of the year she was accepted. I remember being really excited about the letter and getting a UMich teeshirt for her easter basket her last year home. Don’t know if this helps, but figured I’d mention it.

This is good to know. I’ll opt to remain hopeful! @MaryGJ

When are the Shipman weekend notifications sent out?
