did anyone else get acceptance for RD?

Hi all,

Few hours ago, I received an acceptance decision letter from Syracuse University. I knew RD starts releasing on mid March, so I just double checked that I applied RD on common app and I did. The letter clearly stated my name, my ID number, and my home address. There's a date written in the letter, which is February 16th, 2013.

I got acceptance to the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, Management program.

I'm just wondering if anyone else also get accepted. Or should I contact them and ask them what's going on?

Thanks

What time did they send you the email?

I received the letter today too! My first choice was architecure but got into my second choice psychology  Do you know if the program is good?

@Hrp519: congrats! sorry, I don’t know much about other majors :(

Are you all international students?
And by letter do you mean snail mail?

Hi I was accepted, too, today! International Students are getting early notifications for some reason. I was accepted into the Dual Program Arts and Sciences + Newhouse.
GPA 11,5 on a 15 scale, 1860 SAT. Has anyone of you applied for Financial Aid? Because I’m really confused at the moment.

I’m not certain what the story is, but it’s not just international students. I’ve come across at least one person saying that they got in, and they were in continental USA

Very confusing ,What is the protocol for SU RD is email first then my slice then financil aid ? also know student in my town (NJ) was accepted last night Pschology

Last year it was an email that linked you to an admissions decision according to past threads.

Must be like the “likely” letters that some colleges send out. I know of someone who was accepted too (international)!

Thanks Mysticalkites still a little confusing but my understanding is clearer. also would like to post unusual circumstance from another University. a student was deffered from original choice and granted course major in Media management instead. the student accepted even though they had no interest whatsoever in Media but rather in nursing. I think they just wanted acception.personally i think that is B.S. since other students who have a zeal for a particular major and fall 20-30 pts less on SATS get snubbed by that school. this seems to be ongoing problem at many schools

I did not put a second major. I want to go for my first choice only. I don’t understand why others would settle for a second choice, unless you are really unsure.

I agree my S was given 2nd option at UMaryland and didn’t accept his second choice Rutgers gave him first opt and he attends RU and loves it and has secured his major. My D is waiting on Cuse and her 2nd school is OOS .Too bad they both do not go to UTennessee where i went great experience ala my handle on CC is Orange white UTK’s colors lol
My D loves SU but she is patient enough to wait RD in March no problem

even if you didn’t get your first choice, can’t you always transfer to your first choice later on?

True thanks

Not only international students are getting accepted early. I did too!
Do you guys know when the financial aid decisions come out?

i have no idea about financial aid decision :frowning:
i only received the email from the university& i don’t expect to receive snail mail because i unintentionally put the wrong address. so stupid

Hey! I received my acceptance letter to The School of Architecture at Syracuse as well! They send out decisions pretty early it seems.

@IndianDGirl1795 Do you have any sort of special circumstance? International…living abroad…going to one of their discovery programs??

This process is too agonizing. - Maybe it depends on when we submitted all of our materials, or if we’re studying abroad the first semester, or if we’re coming from another country.
