Did anyone else get Student Resource information in the mail before being accepted?

I dont think admission decisions are out yet, but I have been receiving information in the mail about different Student Resources. I got a package containing info about the African and Latino American Cultural Centers.

My assumption is that they send this stuff out to everyone of those ethnicities just for applying, but it doesn’t really make sense to me why they would do that. They would be wasting money, and also getting peoples hopes up just to reject them.

Can anyone confirm that this shows zero indication of whether you might have been accepted or not? Or is there any chance its actually a good sign?

Lol - we received that the other day and when we saw the big envelope from Santa Cruz the whole family got excited only to find the brochure (with disclaimer that this goes to everyone). Honestly, they shouldn’t send this stuff out so close to decision time when everyone’s on their last nerve

I agree. They should just send it out after acceptance letters have gone out, or better yet, with your acceptance letter. There is absolutely no good reason why they should be sending this out before even accepting anybody.
