Did anyone else get this in the mail.

The NYLF on Medicine.

It's annoying because i've been receiving their letters for sometime now and they've always said "i've been nominated". But now, they specifically give the name of the 'Associate Principal of Academic Affairs' of my school. I don't know the qualifications or anything about it.

Anyone get this?

It’s not a scam. It’s not particularly prestigious either. From people who have gone, I’ve heard it’s a fun, though not spectacular, program that really does give some insight into the field. It is pretty expensive go. Prestige is not a good reason to go, because you will be disappointed, but if you’re interested in medicine, you should consider it.

It’s not that big a deal, but it’s a good experience, I heard. Some of my friends told me it’s a lot of fun and you do get a lot out of it. However, it’s very expensive. I’ve never gone, but a lot of people at my school have

never heard of it

I’ve gotten something like that for another one of their programs, and I didn’t go. It’s not a scam, but it’s not particularly special either

Like everyone gets it. Agreed with above posters.

Indeed. I hear an echo from times past on this subject. :)

So basically what you guys are saying is that it doesn’t help toward college considerations? I got one in the mail too, but I wasn’t sure about going or not because it was super expensive

No it’s not going to help you much
