i was worried about the samething

I did! It was smearing though, not bleeding through. I noticed it when I had to go back a few pages and correct some total section misgrids. Shiaaat, I remember.

i was able to see some of the bubbles too from the other side.

I am so sure this is the reason why my scores were so bad in may05, and sat2 jan06. The scores were not what I expected at all. (eg i thought 780 maths 2c, but 720. I'm so sure I did better than 720).

And in Oct06 sat1, I made sure I thoroughly rubbed out any pencil markings - I kinda made a scene as well: rubbing so hard that the desk wobbled and squeaked lol. I rubbed so hard that the blue outlines rubbed off a bit too haha.
And what do you know. my score jumped 300 points, and I didnt even study THAT much for it.

thats scary to know... i'm sure my bubbles appeared on the other side as well.

I wonder. If you ordered a rescore, would they count the bubbles with a bit of smeared graphite from an opposite page correct or still wrong?

you guys are worrying too much, i had this same problems every time i took the SAT and it did not affect my score..stop using excuses

Sorrrrry. I guess I'm still in awe that I got 630M, when on practice tests I always get 770+s with minutes to spare.

Thanks etti for the assurance. I was also worried because I had the same problem.

It happened to me too, but I scored what I was expecting, so it's definitely not a problem.

etti--im not trying to make an excuse. its just something i noticed and was wondering if other ppl noticed too. however i think that its possible that some of the marks could mess up one question or so....def. not more than that tho

ok im sorry that i came off as an a$$...bad day today

i just want to reassure you all so you dont worry about it...i tend to mark my bubbles very very with dark marks, because i am afraid it won't scan well and it has bled through every single time or smeared, and it has not affected my score...so do not worry at all.
