Not get their admissions decision in the email? My good friend did not get his email and he is quite worried that Columbia messed up somewhere along the line. Is anyone else in this position? Also, if Columbia did mess up, he has proof that he applied ED and if they move him to RD, wouldnt they have to compensate for f'ing up his hard work EARLY on?

"Columbia messed up somewhere along the line...wouldnt they have to compensate for f'ing up his hard work EARLY on?"

LMAO, judging from your tone, your friend must be pretty damn sure "Columbia" messed it up. Tell him to double check ALLLLLLL of his credentials that needed to be sent in, and then just call up Columbia and ASK. It's that simple and it clears up a lot of thngs.

Just for the record, I heavily DOUBT it's Columbia's fault. And no, even if they did mess him up, it's up to them whether to compensate (whatever that means) or not.

Delfire - notice : ALSO and IF. the big big ALSO and IF. Here ill copy and paste it again in case you didnt see it:

I was asking a question. you did not need to come at me like i was accusing anyone. I am just helping him preparing for the worst and figuring out whats up with Columbia. He KNOWs he did not mess up and I know he didnt (he is arguably the most organized guy in a school of 3100) because he has all of the receipts and printouts that columbia sent in after confirmation. He also has the printout of the PDF which has "Early Decision" checked off after he sent it in. Dont forget, Columbia has a history of Administration problems. I would not be surprised if they messed up one or two people out of several thousand applicants.

omg i did not get my email either..

but im pretty sure i did my part. i even got the interview done, so i imagine i sent all my information. i doubled checked everything online like 50 times, and i put early decision, and i filled out everything. i handed the stuff to teachers in like early september, and our counselor takes care of sending everything...

i don't know why im not getting that email!!

"you did not need to come at me like i was accusing anyone"

oh, im sorry, I didn't mean to sound that I was accusing anyone, I was merely suggesting that your friend to do the best on his part of making sure because I don't know how Columbia will do their's.

But either way, I hope your friend clears it up and get some kind of compensation.

His mail spam blocker may have labeled it spam. In that case, he'll get the big (or not) package in the mail.

they could have also misread his e-mail addres......because my friend maria got in last year but she didn't hear by e-mail because they read her email has MARTA instead of MARIA.
