Did anyone get a call from NYU asking for your Q1 grades?????

Did anyone get a call from NYU asking for your Q1 grades?
Do you think they ask to the applicants who are on the verge of being denied? or do you think they simply call every E.D. applicant? or do they only call the ones they are likely to accept?

I think they only want the quarter grades of the applicants whom they are considerig for admission

Oh My God! Yes! But My Grades Suck! Oh God I Love You Whoever You Are! Thank You Very Much!

Anyone? Please Reply To Me! :) :) :)

Well, I honestly doubt that they take the time to call everyone. If they called you, it is most likely a positive thing. Trust me, they would not call anyone who they've weeded out as not being a competitive applicant. What were your grades for Q1?

My Q1 GPA is 3.633...lol bit low

That's not bad. You applied for the School of Social Work, right?

If so, it really shouldn't hurt you.

Yes, and I think...it's not that competitive compare to CAS, Stern, Tisch, and Gallatin.

I hope...I hope so! I want to go !!!!

my senior grades are terrible...2.8 for Q1...im not even taking hard classes because I pretty much finished my school's offerings of math last year (with a's btw)
I really hope they don't weigh senior grades heavily

nyu2004, list your stats! :) where did you apply to?
did you get the call?

as far as I know, no call yet...havent talked to my counselor in a week tho

Good essay

I just talked to my counselor today and he told me that he didn't get a call from NYU asking about my Q1 grades. Why would they be calling people? Is it good I didn't get a call?

:) I found out that it's good to receive a call. My counselor personally called the NYU admissions officer whom she knows very well. She went to NYU for her Masters degree and knows some people at the admissions. It's an indication that I am getting an acceptance, but again, never 100% for sure.

Also, I got a mail from NYU admissions office today. Did anyone get this?
It says, it's for N.Y.U. "Students". Yay!
Am I overreacting? This might be just a mail being sent to every E.D. applicant. Did any of you get this mail today? or the mysterious phone call?

Premature congrats.

You most likely got in, but don't expect it just in case.

What were your stats?

Thank you,

but, I cannot accept it! Because I am not 100% sure. Tell me I won't get in, so that way I will be really happy if i see a big fat envelope after coming back home from school. around 2:45PM...on Wed...Dec 15

Nevermind, I saw your stats on another post.

What made you decide to apply Social Work?
What do you plan on doing with it?

The anticipation would probabaly drive me insane. Good luck.

You can clearly see that I have a passion for Social Work. Go look at my E.C.

I want to double major in Social Work and Political Science.
or I want to transfer out to CAS and major in International relations or Political Science and Economics or Russian....I do not know...
However I know that I want to major in something around there...Social Sciences.

I want to goto a Law School...so I might have to take Political Science

Ambitious. I'm not sure that pol. sci. is a req for law school...

Beyond just an interest, do you want to potentially have a career in social work, or did you apply there in hopes of transferring to a more competitive school, while doing something you like in the meantime?

Didn't I say that I DO have a passion for Social Work?

If things don't work out well, I will transfer out. And I clearly said, "I do not know".

Go read it again

OK man, whatever. Take it easy.

haha seriously
