<p>wow. so I got off the phone with my CC and they said they sent out a GPA thingie to CAL Grant in February. So I guess I am OK. But did you two atually sit down and apply for the Cal Grant like by filling out your information or not. Because at the CC I was we dont do anything, the Financial Aid office just sends out our GPA to them Automatically. Is that now the way you guys are?</p>
<p>oh yeah im screwed. very screwed. to get the cal grant fafasa was supposed to be completed and submitted in march... i submitted mine a week ago. wow, wow wow</p>
<p>^Yup, I thought that CC's really push filling out a FAFSA. FAFSA is like Step 1 when trying to get Fin. Aid.</p>
<p>well at least for next year you'll know in advance to complete the FAFSA early, I usually do it right when I file my taxes in Feb, you can always take out student loans for this year.</p>

<p>I did get UCLA Regents but I have been hoping since our apps. that I would get it for UCB. I really can't afford college that is why I went to CC in the first place. I know that if UCB doesn't cover most of my finaid I can't go. I guess that is why I am so anxious. They sent me a letter for parent financial verification and now I am just waiting to see what they will offer me. Good luck to everyone who is hoping for it too :).</p>

<p>Yeah I got the semi-finalist Alumni as well. I don't think I'll be continuing, however, because I will be attending Columbia University (unless I get in to Yale). Ah... so long California.</p>
<p>Actually mojojojo69... sorry to say, but I've spoken to the director of regents and chancellors at UC Berkeley and she made it very stern that only 4.0 students would be reviewed for the regents and that they will have around 30 spots for transfer students. I just called again today to confirm and they said that they will notify us within 2 weeks-- which is ironic since they told me that exact same thing 2 weeks ago. If by the end of the month I don't get any updates about cal regents, I'm just going with ucla regents.</p>

<p>Awww I am officially heart broken if that is the case. I wish I knew of one transfer student who has gotten it. I haven't heard of any :(.</p>
<p>I hate to be the bearer of bad news but my friend got the Regents from Cal. She heard last Friday actually.</p>
<p>Oh no that is awesome. I finally know someone has got it. It really puts my mind at ease :).</p>
