Im just really curious of anyone that got denied from IUB. If so could you post your gpa and SAT/ACT scores?

Well my GPA was a 3.1 and I had a 23 ACT and I got accepted

I know there used to be a publication with statistics of students who get in. Not sure where the link is anymore but I’m sure you could find it if you really look around. ikooldiscover’s stats would have placed him towards the very bottom (probably 5th percentile ish) of the pool so don’t feel bad if you didn’t get in with similar stats.

I know a couple of people who got denied. One had a gpa below 3.0 so that was no surprise, but I did know one person who had a 3.0-3.4 gpa who got denied. Not sure why, but they did.
I doubt that…you can see why by looking at the numbers.
Every year,IU’s acceptance rate landed around 70%, but when it comes to yield rate it’s around 30%.
So less than one third of the people who got accepted actually attend the college…and that’s not good.
@Normwal why do you say that’s not good? A group of hyper selective schools and some regional universities have high yields but 30 percent seems above average at least. A lot of really good private schools with acceptance rates in the 20-30 range have similar yields. Northwestern and U Michigan probably have higher yields but I’d assume most big ten schools aren’t much better or many state schools. I think it’s natural to use a state school as a back up. IU isn’t what I’m looking for in size or affordable but I have family who have gone there and it seems like a really good school.
