Did anyone get in off the waitlist yet?

<p>not me, I still gotta send in my letter, grade report, extra teacher recs, etc</p>

<p>hopefully I get a call tommorow from an admissions counselor "Hey Sam we were total fools for not taking you RD please come to Cornell." </p>

<p>do they tell waitlisted students whether if they get in off the waitlist or finally get rejected? If so, they do that by only phone or letter? Also, do all the waitlisted students get guaranteed transfers?</p>

<p>I THINK in some colleges, all waitlisted students who are not admitted get guaranteed transfers. I don't think this is possible with the bigger colleges because there are just too many kids on the waitlist.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure they call you to notify you.</p>

<p>mann sometimes i think its better being rejected, cuz when i imagine myself being told that after all this waiting I am finally rejected, I'd be so freakin sad dude. hopefully that won't happen. ^^</p>

<p>So far I have heard of one person on this board getting in off the waitlist. He said they called him and told him he has 24 hours to decide if he will accept the offer. I really hope they allow more than 24 hours to decide.</p>

<p>CAS told me that they re-evaluate all applications after May 1... But didn't tell me how long it might take.
Sigh...
So the wait begins. Again.</p>

<p>I called the processing center to confirm that they received my 3rd quarter grades. The lady told me CAS (and all other colleges) will begin calling students on the 8th.</p>

<p>EDIT: Just called CAS, they said waitlisted students can expect to hear the week of May 15th.</p>

<p>tun, wouldn't it suck if one of your friends prank called you pretending to be Cornell...since youre the only one that has "found out" and its kinda wierd. One of my friends that applied to NYU got a prank acception letter from another kid...thing looked so real. He ended up getting accepted for real but im just saying...its a possbility...maybe.</p>

Well no worries. I got my acceptance letter and materials from Cornell today. :)</p>
