Did anyone get the meningitis shot?

Is it also called the meningococcal (sp?) shot? Ughh I got 2 shots today and I have to go back again for this ppd or something.
I hate shots..is there some phobia of needles lol because I probably have it.

Oh and i got my blood drawn too but it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would..they used the fingertip kind, not the needle sucking out your blood...ugh I hate even thinking about it.

ya meningits is the same thing as meningococcal..i dont know how to spell it either...
getting blood drawn didnt really hurt,
but just the thought of my blood being sucked out of a vein in my arm is kind of negative...
i had the needle stuck in my arm,
not the fingertip kind.
lucky :)
lol

i had to get my blood drawn too...my mom made me =/ collide, i am so like you. i am deathly afraid of needles. and apparently the lady couldnt find my vein, so it hurt really really bad. but eh, all for a good cause.

So i just got my hepatitis A and meningitis shot three days ago on both arms. One of the arms has cleared up, but one has been severely swollen and paralyzed for days now and I can't move it! Is this normal??

umm, i got the hep A shot yesterday, and my arm really didnt hurt. then again, after i get shots, i pass out every time, but once that happens, im good. so im not sure how normal that is.

i dont think thats normal...
my arms were just sore for a couple of days after i got my shots...
not that bad randi...
lol
but did you move them around alot ofter you got them?
i went to ballet for a couple of hours after i had mine,
so that might have helped
idk

TB was disgusting..it didn't really hurt but it looked really gross when they put the stuff in.

yeahh, the TB was pretty disgusting. but i guess its good that all these things are required, makes for a safer environment.

Yes, my niece got the meningitis shot for summer program at Emma Willard. Though she said it was the worst shot she's ever gotten, she wasn't sore any longer than 6 hours or so. (Primarily because her brother kept poking her. ;) )

People still die from Chicken Pox(varicella)--it is in fact not a benign disease.
Any person with chronic illness can be highly vulnerable to varicella infection---those with cancer, HIV/AIDs, chronic asthma. So you let little Johnny at 2 get the chickenpox and while he is infectious (you are infectious before the lesions break out) he is exposed to Aunt Mary with breast cancer---not good

Ouch, I have my physical and shots in 2 weeks.

hahahahahahahaha
i hope you have fun getting blood drawn
