Did anyone have their Ursa updated?

I want to know if any of you future transferees have seen an update of the infamous "columns" on Ursa. So many threads were posted regarding being able to see the financial aid information on Ursa, but very few specified whether or not they were able to see two or three columns. Looking back at the freshmen threads for UCLA, it was pretty much a consensus that three columns = rejection. So has anyone had had their "columns" updated?

To answer your question, if anyone did have their URSA updated, there would be tons of threads of “OMG, I SEE THE COLUMNS” just like the FA summary.

So… No.

Hmm. The title of my thread was only a reference to the more specific question which I have laid out in details. Essentially, I wanted to know if any transferees had their columns updated from three to two. But we’ve only few days left before all is unveiled with certainty, but I couldn’t help myself after having read all of those freshmen rejection threads.

The columns appear on URSA when it’s updated.

could u give me the link to the freshman’s decision page?

If you look through the pages, the whole theory about just being able to see financial aid goes out the window (I.E. Only the estimated cost, not a specified amounts).

I must remind you, after discussing with one of the members of this forum, that three columns does not equate to financial aid being visible. For me personally, I would presume that they were able to see the financial aid but just didn’t mention it, but either way, mentioning of financial aid was not to be found.

fl0wer i don’t understand how seeing estimated costs throws the theory out of the window when the whole theory revolves around seeing the estimated financial costs. If you look at these threads you’ll realize that everyone who saw these “estimated costs” got accepted to UCLA:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/494905-ucla-financial-aid-summary.html

edit: also the thread you posted says nothing about the validity of the financial aid theory. Everyone talks about the columns but if you look through the posts you’ll see that those who got 3 columns and were later rejected never saw financial aid summaries on ursa. Those who were accepted would later see it on ursa.

“For me personally, I would presume that they were able to see the financial aid but just didn’t mention it, but either way, mentioning of financial aid was not to be found.”
Those who saw 3 columns couldn’t see financial aid because they were freshmen and fasfa was due on march 2nd. Decisions were released on march 18th. Do you really think they would have financial aid up before that when it took them a full month after the fasfa deadline to get the transfers up? Also consider that there are 55,000 freshman applicants compared to the 15,000 transfer applicants. There was no way they could see financial aid even when they had URSA access.

Jet:

You make a convincing argument, but unfortunately my intentions were not to disprove the theory. If anything, my last post was actually in favor of the “theory.” I pretty much acknowledge that the freshmen thread was invalid to the theory by stating “three columns does not equate to financial aid being visible.” And the key word that I said in regard to the aforementioned thread was “presume.” Previously, I presumed the freshmen to have been able to see their financial aid–which now I am convinced opposite of-- but basically repudiated that assumption with “mentioning of financial aid was not to be found.” Again, I was never trying to disprove the theory, but was only seeking a more solid evidence in support of it (that which I was able to attain through you and other members). Thanks.

jus coz u can see three columns doesnt mean tht u can automatically see FA summary… if i had stats of
1.5 GPA applying to comm studies
wexp— local profitable business in compton named as “high shop” best price in the are $17/gram
e/c— w*nking
IGETC— art and humanities complete
Essay #1 — eminems cleaning out my closet(showing family trauma)
m pretty certain u wudnt be able to check ur FA summary
i was looking at freshman threads and their threads are rather “primitive” they don speculate as much as we do… in other wrds we are better informed we have strong data and stuff
and as for every one being able to see their FA summary… not true
i beileve peppmint cannot see his FA also… and all those who cannot see will proibably not speak up… thats how it is

m not trying to say tht it is surely accurate but all m saying is that it sounds very plausible
