I sent mine in the week before the 17th, I don't think they've even processed it yet...

im sooo p.o dude.
I called on the 3 of March to get mine on the 5th and sent it on the 7th.
I called like 4 days ago and they told me that they received it on the 17!!
ughhhhhhhh
I need to know about their response ASAP before I make a move on UNC

ahh dont remind me. im so nervous.

johnny did you overnight your appeal?

what did everyone base their appeals on?

sat and act scores increased

I just sent my appeal package, but the department heads also sent the appeals committee a letter on my behalf. Cross your fingers for me. If I don’t get UF, I will probably go to Auburn or Vanderbilt. Who’d have guessed it would be harder to get into UF than Vandy?

i know, right?

woah. howd you get the appeals committee to do that for you??

I think I sent mine last Wednesday.

I didn’t get a scholarship to Illinois, so now it’s down to U-Miami or UCF Honors…or UF could step in and make my decision painful and hard. (My parents and GC really don’t want me to go.)

why dont they want you to go??

They all say I’m not a fit for the school, and because I’m more of an academically oriented person and don’t party much I should go somewhere like the UCF Honors College.

Also to them, they think I will be ignored of my needs from my learning disability in a large environment. Well…that’s what they have the department of disability services for! Sigh…

ooh that sucks. one of my teachers said the same thing to me too cause i should go to a smaller school because of my learning disability crap. but if i get in im going anyways. im not gonna pass up the chance of my lifetime.

Well, right now I’ve met a bunch of other admitted students both at the UCF Honors College and New College who have been rejected from UF as well. It doesn’t really give me much confidence.

These two seem to be turning into UF reject programs!

You do know that there’s plenty of hardcore partying at UCF, yes?

Go where’s best for your program.

^ True, most people think that UCF has a small party scene, while that is not the case at all.

I have a friend in UCF and I never heard back from him.
most likely he never made it out on one of the parties.

i’m going to call tomorrow and find out when will I be notified by. I’m about to buy tickets to Chapel Hill. I would rather get a decision before my UNC tour on the 7 of April so I can have a road trip.(Miami, UF, UNC, UF and back)
they take forever!

Sorry to hear about the whole appeals process. It will be tough, but hang in and be strong!

so i called today and they said theyre looking at mine this week and id prolly find out from them in a week or two. but they received mine march 10th. they told me that they looked at 12 of them last week and that this week they are staying longer for reviews cause so many people are appealing.
