What's up with all this? I know the whole state of Texas took away be-on-time loans but now they're taking away need-based grants too?

They just took away about 3/4 of my financial aid. :/

Which grants?

The university undergraduate tuition grant :(.

I lost a good deal of FA as well. (All my grants and B-on-time loan)

Definitely looking into it and had a letter sent in to the financial aid office.

B-on-time is being drastically shrunk because they miscalculated how much they were giving out and basically needed to cut back before they went ran out of funding for it.

I knew the credit crunch was expanding past Wall Street, but to student aid as well. May be worse than I thought.

What's a Be-on-time grant?

A Be-on-time "grant" is actually issued out as a loan in the beginning before any disbursement of funds. If the student who the loan is issued to graduates in four years or fewer, then the student does not have to pay the loan off, and the loan is, in effect, a grant.
