Did anyone NOT go to prom?

I didn’t go. Didn’t see the need to spend about $200 dollars for it either.

I didn’t go to my junior prom.
Don’t know if I regret it or not, but I couldn’t find a date.
It hurt so much :frowning: I really wanted to go but just didn’t, so I spent the night at home just crying to myself. I asked 4 girls, one of them I thought would say yes. sigh I don’t know what it is about me, for other guys it’s an honor to the girl to be asked. For me, it’s just an insult. One of the ones I asked went around telling people in disgust that I asked her.
Planning on going this year-but I think I’ll have a prom date.

i went to senior prom as a sophomore and loved it it was at the aquarium and it was so cool!!!
and ill probably go again this year (junior year) presuming im asked and then again senior year.
our proms are amazing.

Not surprising that most CCers opted to skip out of prom lol. I’ll definitely attend senior prom, junior prom at my school is a bit of a joke so I’m unsure.

I went and regretted.
I am not going this year.

HonorsCentaur has to be a GIGANTIC loser.

Aww, HonorsCentaur =/. Ask people in your friends circle this time, instead of random people who would shoot you down.

I like my school’s proms, they’re generally a lot of fun and really popular. The ticket prices are pretty reasonable as well, and dates usually arrive in groups instead of separately. We’ve got a beach house for the weekend and everything. I’ll be so happy when school is done and I can just let go.

Cent: it’s cool man… Happens to the best of us. I called a friend of mine 2 1/2 weeks before the deadline to buy tickets (from another school, but good friend), and she said she’d love to go, but she was going to FLA for 2 weeks so she’d call me when she got there and when she got back. She’s freakin gorgeous, so i was surprised when she said yes; my friends didn’t believe me when they saw her on facebook lol. She never called me when she was there, and when she got back she called me and said that her prom was on the same day and already had a date, but “she wishes she coulda gone to mine”… only junior year though so no big deal.

lets hope we both have better luck this year!!

Aww poor HonorsCentaur. Don’t worry that would probably happen to me too, if I ever dared to ask someone out. But of course I wouldn’t. They seem pretty boring anyways, if they’re anything like other school dances. I’ve regretted both I’ve been to so far. I wouldn’t expect junior prom to be any different.

I didn’t go to the Junior Prom last year. Ended up studying for a for an upcoming A.P test instead ( I think it was Euro…)

Junior prom was canceled last year.

I’m going to senior prom.

@hatersunite: damn dude that’s harsh

My school doesn’t have junior prom, but I’m definitely going to senior prom this year.

@ HonorsCentaur - Ignore him bro. It’s the internet and people tend to be *******s because there’s no repercussion. I don’t know you personally so I won’t judge you, but if people call you a nerd or make fun of you, remind them that Will Smith was a geek in high school.

Prom sounds lame.

I will not be going.

The only improvement prom does over other school dances is that you get to dress up for it. Not good enough for me, lol.

Probably not going. Why waste all that money on dress, hair, ticket, etc when I could have fun for free?

Plus…I’m just a nonconformist

Prom sucked last year, but as long as my friend goes (her bf is way too old to come, so she’s sometimes not into it), I’ll go. If she doesn’t want to go, but wants us to drive 4 hours to Michigan to see our best friend, that’ll be way more fun and I won’t regret missing prom at all.

i went to prom last year…it was a lot of fun, but i don’t really know if i would have went if i didn’t have a date. my date asked me like a month and a half before the dance, but i wish he would have asked me earlier…haha i was so nervous for the longest time that i wouldn’t have gotten asked. it was a fun night, though. it’s just fun to get dressed up and be with all your friends, and the after party was just as much fun as prom itself. haha my date was prom king too…so of course we had to celebrate that too hahaha but yeah, i guess it’s not really for everyone

I didn’t do junior prom and don’t want to do senior prom, but my family is bugging me about it…I want to beat them

I’m all for going to prom. Even if you’re a Thoreau type who’d rather be postulating about life on Walden pond. Even if you’re too alternative for such cliche things. Even if you’re single (in fact, most of my girl friends turn down guy friends who ask them because they want to go with a big group and have a girls’ night). Do it.
