Cal Grant B: 1551 + b x 3** = 24,627 for your whole 4 years of college career at UC school.

How did you do that? I don't get how you got that formula...

1551 : First Year of Cal Grant B, covers living expenses

+

(1551+6141) x 3 : From the second year on CalGrant B covers living expenses plus fees (aka tuition)

I don't get why they would offer 1551 for the first year, and then 6,141+1,551 the other three years...

well most scholarships that we can apply for are for first year only so i guess it really helps out?

Yah, but I'm talking about the Cal Grant B specifically. Why do they give you 1551 for the first year and then (1551 x 6141) for the next three years, and Cal Grant gives 6141 for all four years?
