I as well thought it was a scam, and when my mother encouraged me to apply I was sure that she was being too hopeful that this would be worth something. However, I applied to the Robert Sheppard scholarship for $1000 and was chosen as a finalist to receive the award! If you don’t care for scholarships then this probably isn’t helpful to you. But it actually is pretty cool and would be a pretty good experience for $60 not to mention you can put it in your credentials for your resume! Wish you all the best of luck!

Hmm, why are there so many 0 post members saying this isn’t a scam? Oh right, because it’s a scam.

Also why the hell would you put this on your resume. It’s an honor society that’s really easy to get invited to that charges for membership. It doesn’t even do anything.

Maybe it does actually give out scholarships but I have a feeling those scholarships are just paid for by membership fees.

Oh we’re talking about this AGAIN

Have they started putting their spam bots on CC yet?

It’s a scam. The fact that they ask for money is just one good indicator.

Scam…just got one.
They tried to entice me by saying they encourage “diversity” and offer great scholarships for people like me.

Threw it in the trash.

I received it and threw it away.
