Hi,
I’m a senior who wants to apply to UVA but I really messed up on two subject tests, Math and Lit.
I got a 610 on Lit and a 670 on Math. At the same time I did close to perfect on two other SAT subject tests. Could I not send in the bad scores but send everything else? How bad would it look if I had to send the bad scores?
Thanks in advance.
From what I remember I only sent in my really good subject tests, and did not send my bad scores. If that is still the case where you can choose which specific scores to send, I would only send in your near-perfect scores to help your application. Definitely don’t send in the bad ones if they don’t contribute anything positive to your application.
Thank you, that makes sense.
- You self-report your test scores on the application. If you are admitted and enroll, you send your official scores to confirm that the self-reported ones were correct.
- SAT Subject Tests are totally optional.
This is covered in the “Standardized Testings” section of the application instructions. Be sure to read those!
I got 800s on my subject tests and a C in AP lit and still got into UVA, so they perfects help a ton
it wouldnt hurt because you dont have to take them
