did everyone get an email confirming their ER Status-should I worry?

Yeah probably, I hate being OOS

why aren’t you applying to UT? That’s another one of the schools I’m applying too, fairly confident that I’ll get in

I am, I’ve already gotten into UT actually (top 10% rule in texas, they responded in like 2 days it was great) but i don’t want to go there at all.

Oh alright, ya I have a lot of friends that will be going that I know because of all of the family that I have in Houston, and it’s a great school…I would do Honors Economics

I applied to liberal arts honors and plan 2 honors, but i havent heard back from either yet.
yeah UT is a great school but everyone i know has gotten in, so it doesn’t seem all that prestigious to me anymore. It would be much cooler to get into somewhere that I’m not guaranteed admission haha

You guys chill… you only get the email saying you’re ER if you submitted your app right before the deadline. I submitted mine at the end of September and didn’t get that email. And I got in.

Nice, you don’t apply as a freshman right? It’s like Freshman-Sophomore year that you apply for an honors major?

No, you apply as a freshmen. When you send in your applytexas app there’s a spot where it asks you if you want to apply to an honors major and when you put yes they send you an email with info on how you fill in the honors app. You might want to hurry though because they’re all rolling admission and they only take about 150-200 kids for most of the honors programs

I just looked it up, there’s two ways to do it, through freshman year or you can complete certain requirements by Sophomore year and apply…two different ways I suppose

“Upper Division Honors”

I have no idea, I just know when the UT rep came to our school she told us to try to get it in my Nov 15th. You could be right though, i’m not sure

all of guys worrying about not getting the e-mail, relax. i was worried too that i didn’t get one, so i called the office and asked them if i made the ED deadline. the guy said yes, so you guys could do that instead of freaking out about how you had everything in a month ago and didn’t receive an e-mail

just wait a week, if nothing happens, just call the admissions office. Most people I know applied in September and haven’t even gotten an email yet, so don’t freak

jkaplan (#7), sorry. It’s not on WA; it’s on the regular website. Go to Office of Undergraduate Admissions on the umich website, and look on the left hand side. Click on “Ask Us.” When you get to that website, there is a tab for Live Help. You’ll have to wait until Monday - but they answer your questions right away.

alright cool, thanks
