Did everyone receive an OHP email?

I'm assuming only out-of-state accepted applicants received the email since it said they would pay for airfare? But I was wondering if all out-of-state accepted applicants actually received this email?

No, i got it and i’m in-state, pretty far down in socal though. the FAQ says it is for those traditionally unable to visit berkeley, like low-income or those from low-performing high schools, but both me and a friend go to a decent, not great high school and are both ineligible for any financial aid so i think unofficially, it just means they want us more

Nope, didn’t get anything.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/890597-whats-difference-between-2-overnight-programs.html

i found it in my berk app. i received an email for OSP though.

OHP, among other things, tries to target areas where there is not a huge amount of students coming to berkeley.

I didn’t receive either email, but when I click the “myEvents” tab, I am able to RSVP for the OHP. I do not, however, see any OSP program.

what is osp? sorry

and i never got ohp and am oos and very poor… does that mean they don’t want me as badly?

as in the email for ohp…

do u think they wont be sending anymore?

One of my friends got invited to participate in OHP or a similar program at no-cost. Why?

The University offers a small number of free program slots to students who have participated in UC outreach programs, attended low-performing high schools, or come from low-income background. Those students are identified by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions – a student cannot apply for one of the free slots.

So I just found out that the emails offer OHP at no cost whereas anybody can RSVP at the Berkeley site for $60. My email said they would pay for my airfare and accommodations, but I do not come from a low-income background or low-performing high school. Weird…
