DId everyone schedule an interview already?

I called the admissions office back in early January and they said that interviews would be conducted January and February. Well, it's mid February and I still haven't gotten a call to schedule interview. Is this a bad sign (paranoia)? Should I call them?

I got this email in mid-January.

Dear ********,

An important part of Georgetown’s admissions process is an interview with a member of the local Alumni Admissions Committee. Georgetown requires a local alumni interview and the report of your conversation will be received by the Admissions Committee during the evaluation of your application.

Below you will find the contact information for your interviewer. The admissions office prefers that you take the initiative to setup the interview and this should be done as soon as possible.

It is our hope that the interview will be both enjoyable and informative. If you have questions about this process, please call the admissions office at 202-687-3600 or send an email to: guadmiss@georgetown.edu.

Sincerely,

The Georgetown Admissions Staff

Wait I’m not sure what this means.
Does that mean they want us to contact a local alumni by ourselves?

What if I don’t know who my local alumni are?

They gave me the contact info of my assigned local alumna so I could contact her. (I omitted her contact info for security reasons). I live in the Bay Area. Alumni interviews might be organized differently in other parts of the country.

I suggest you contact GU admissions to ask them about alumni interviews in your area.

Today, I called Georgetown Admissions to ask what was going on, and they simply said these interviewsa re based on availability. AND if I didn;'t get one, it was all right. I’m not sure becuase on the website and eveyr pamphlet it says georgetown applicants need an interview. What should I do now?

Really? I’ve never heard that Georgetown required interviews.
If GU admissions says it’s alright, then you just need to chill.
Hopefully we both will get good news on April 1st!

I got an email from my interviewer about two weeks after my application was submitted. If you didn’t get one by now, and the Admissions office says you’re good, then don’t worry too much :)
