<p>I applied to 8, a nice mix of safety, match, and reach. Your number seems excessive and suggests that you’re confused and/or indecisive, but it’s your prerogative and it really doesn’t matter.</p>

<p>I’m gonna be honest, 25 is a ridiculous amount, almost stupid…but if you felt you needed to than by all means…I applied to 8…I think that’s around average</p>

<p>If you can afford 25 applications, 25 SAT score reports, 25 transcripts, then go ahead! It’s not as if it’ll hurt your chances of getting into any of them, and you’re pretty much guaranteed (obviously) to get in somewhere good. Just make sure you wouldn’t mind going to any of the ones that you get into and that’s fine.</p>

<p>I planned to apply to about 8 originally, but in came the ECO waivers, and thus I applied to about 15.</p>
<p>Well, I applied to 5 in the UK, but I usually count that as one, since I sent one transcript, paid the same app fee as I would have for 2 colleges, and won’t send scores unless I decide to go.</p>
<p>I’m the US, I’m applying to 7. I could have applied to 5, since I sent in one app more than a month before the deadline, before I got EA acceptances, and I shouldn’t have applied to one of my second choice schools early.</p>

<p>No, a friend of mine that goes to my school is applying to 34 colleges. No, that wasn’t a typo. THIRTY FOUR colleges.</p>
<p>how? U can only apply to 20 with the common app…and I doubt somone will find 14 other top schools to apply to…</p>
