I decided to send SAT II scores today, and I meant to just send a 740, but I got confused on the College Board website and accidentally sent ALL my scores, including the bad ones (640, 670, 680, 720, 740). I am absolutely beside myself and have been so upset for hours. HOWEVER, I did not self-report on the UC app website yet. Will they still see them even though I didn’t self-report? I feel like they still will. I am worried that I just singlehandedly ruined everything for myself.
You actually saved yourself. You are required to report ALL SAT scores. Ucla will use the highest one so it doesn’t matter. Not sending in all scores is bad as score choice is not allowed at Ucla
hmm. I actually meant SAT Subject Tests. Is it the same policy? Because subject tests are required to submit at all, but now they have my bad scores, one as low as a 640.
Several years ago I got in with a submitted SAT subject score in the 500s, and two in the 700s.
ok that makes me feel better omg
@phospholipase do you mind sharing your gpa/standardized tests?
@helpmegetinlol this about 6 years ago (times flies)
High school UC GPA was about 4.2
SAT Reading 620
SAT Math 770
SAT Writing 670
SAT Subject in Chemistry 790
SAT Subject in Math2 770
SAT Subject in Literature 570
ACT English 27
ACT Math 34
ACT Reading 26
ACT Science 27
ACT Eng/Writing 26
I think ACT Composite was 29.
They will only consider your highest scores. Relax and enjoy the rest of senior year. Best of luck.
Nothing I have read on any UC website has indicated that the submission of SAT Subject Matter Test scores is required by UCs generally, although taking some tests is recommended for certain majors at certain campuses.
