Today I got a letter saying I had scanned my W-2 incorrectly when I applied for aid (dummy me). But the letter said that the committee had made special allowances due to unexpected medical costs that my family had last year and that my award could not be determined until I submitted a new copy of my W-2. I was too scared to ask on the phone when I called them, so do y’all think I got in? I don’t want to get excited and then get denied or deferred in two weeks.
Wake Forest is need-blind and the admissions department is seperate from financial aid, so communications about your financial aid application shouldn’t be taken as indicative of your admissions decision.
Just an update, the letter I received was indeed a tell-tale. I was accepted and told they wouldn’t have sent a letter if I hadn’t been accepted. Just for reference for anyone in the future.
