Did I just BLOW my chances of going to Harvard?

So I was admitted to Harvard’s class of 2019 through SCEA, and I was UNBELIEVABLY happy at first. All I had to do was keep my grades up, and it would be smooth sailing. But guess what? I SLIPPED.

Semester grades came out yesterday. I got a “C” in AP Physics 1. It dropped my UW GPA by .03, and my W GPA by .02. And on top of that, I dropped out and switched to Honors Physics. I’m probably going to call the admissions office and see how this will affect me, but I’m SO SCARED RIGHT NOW. Thoughts guys? :frowning:

One C will not get you rescinded. If you’re concerned about it, be proactive and call Admissions and speak with your regional Admissions Officer. You should have their name, as they probably sent you a welcome letter.

I don’t think one C will get you rescinded. You probably should have discussed dropping down to Honors with your GC and AO before doing so.

Not your finest hour, but I doubt you’ll get rescinded unless there’s more to tell.

Oh come on. Harvard did not accept you because of one “A” and won’t reject you because of one midyear “C”.

Don’t worry about it but definitely tell the admissions office about the change in class. I think they require that you inform them any time you make a change from what you’ve outlined as your senior year coursework.
