Did I just kill my chances?

March SAT score: 2110
May SAT score: 1970....
Cornell requires ALL scores..
I don't think I will take it a third time in the fall
SAT-wise, am I screwed?

no. you have a 2110, which is reasonable for Cornell. they take your highest score.

I meant will the huge decrease hurt me a lot? On collegeboard it says:

SAT score-use policy:
All SAT Scores Required for Review

This college has indicated that it considers all SAT scores in its review process and requires that you submit all SAT scores from all test dates.

They take your best scores on each section regardless of test date and use those to make an admissions decision. You will be fine.

that college board message means that if you got 750 CR and 700 math on the first sitting but then got 700 CR and 750 math on the second sitting, Cornell would consider the two 750s, even though they weren’t earned on the same day.

I can’t say that you’ll be fine, but your 2110 will likely not be a deciding factor.

Ohh for some reason I thought it meant that Cornell does not superscore. But I guess in a way, it does.
My CR+M is not very strong though :frowning: but thanks for the help!

your score is a 2110. don’t take the SAT 3 times.

are your grades up to par and have you some decent EC’s? the only thing you could do is take the ACT. it’s a tad easier and if you get a 31-33+ it may override the 1970

I didn’t sign up for the June ACT because I want to focus on the subject SATs. I might try ACT in sept

two words: gestalt, holism
