Did I just make a huge mistake?...

Ok, so for my Dartmouth waitlist letter, I headed it "Dear Dartmouth University," instead of "Dear Dartmouth College". I kind of just wrote it in 1 sitting and somehow forgot that although Dartmouth is a university, it is called Dartmouth college.

I know my chances are miniscule anyway, but did this mistake destroy any miniscule hope I had left?

Can’t be as bad as when I repeatedly referred to Hanover as “New Haven” during my Alumni Interview. No wonder I got waitlisted. Haha.

I wouldn’t worry. If its really concerning call admissions office and ask if you can resend the letter to correct a mistake. They might tell you don’t worry about it.

Yes … it’s Dartmouth College.

When I referred to my girlfriend Mary, as Samantha, she dumped me.

^ Her fault for not going by Samantha.

damn I really hope this mistake didn’t kill me. Do you guys think I should e-mail an apology?

You are just overly sensitive. Not to worry Ratnik, not to worry.

I’m a '13 at Dartmouth…don’t want to be overly cynical or hand down a verdict, but we do take the fact that we are called a “college” and not a university. It all goes back to the 1800s when the state of New Hampshire tried to turn us into a public university by the name of Dartmouth University and that name is now just seen as something filthy. The rapper Wale came in the Fall and called us Dartmouth University and the campus got pretty ****ed.
