Ok, so for my Dartmouth waitlist letter, I headed it "Dear Dartmouth University," instead of "Dear Dartmouth College". I kind of just wrote it in 1 sitting and somehow forgot that although Dartmouth is a university, it is called Dartmouth college.

I know my chances are miniscule anyway, but did this mistake destroy any miniscule hope I had left?

Nah. I wrote a letter of continued interest to Yale and some of their documents say Yale University and others say Yale College, so I’m sure both are acceptable for Darthmouth too.

Don’t worry about it. It’s OK.

I just hope they don’t take offense to it and misinterpret my mistake as a sign of disinterest. That worry may be a tad irrational and unreasonable, but I can’t help but think about it.

They won’t even notice. They’ll be more concerned with the body of your letter. They are trying to create a well rounded class. They are admissions officers, not copy editors.

ehhh, dartmouth + university does not exist. So that would look sketchy to me. Just being honest!!
