Did I Just Ruin My Chances at getting into college?

I have pulled nearly all A's throughout Highschool - with a few B's in between, but this semester (my Junior year), I pulled a C in my AP History class, as well as a substantially higher amount of B's than usual...

My first choice colleges are quite selective. Not Ivy League or anything... but still - hard schools to get into.

I work 20-30 hours a week, and while I participated in extra-curriculars my Freshmen and Sophomore year, I haven't done nearly as much this year..

Wondering if I've completely ruined my chances - or if I pull straight A's my second semester, it will off-set the ONE C.

Please, please let me know. And be honest, brutally so.

wow, you are overthinking this. chill out, it is just a C. just one. i would make a point to not get another one and improve in your next history class, but it probably wouldnt be a deciding factor, especially if your not applying to ivy league

you will do fine!!! it is just one C and you have extra-curriculars

Just get an A in the class next semester (probably easier said than done, but I’m sure you can do it), and colleges will appreciate the improvement. One C is not going to kill your shot at a selective college in most cases, especially if you have nearly all A’s as you say. You said yourself that you are not looking to get into an Ivy anyway, so don’t worry.
