Hey guys so today was back to school night and I was thinking about my summer and what all i did, and I realized that I didn't really do anything. Which makes me kinda sad.

i guess I shouldn't say that.. i mean i did volunteer at the hospital on the weekends, and was a counselor at a 4 day camp.... but i didn't do anything major.

So my question is when colleges look at what I did this summer will they look down on it in disapproval or will they think that I spent my summer wisely?

Don’t stress over that too much. Everyone is entitled to a break every now and then. I didn’t do anything mind-blowing this summer (my friends on the other hand - they practically traveled the world), mainly b/c of transportation issues. Nothing spectacular for me except a bunch of homework/prep.

Thread I made in the beginning of June about studying for the SAT/PSAT.

I studied for about 15 minutes. Over the whole summer. :(

I did other things, like volunteer, traveled with Habitat for Humanity, I worked, did some other stuff. But it doesn’t feel like much.

I’m still working on my summer homework and my first day of school was today, haha.

I also didn’t get to do some of the “lazy” summer things I wanted to do this summer.
I didn’t catch up on last season of CSI:Miami, or the past couple of the Office.
Didn’t work out as much as I would have liked too, but I’ll get back into that once school starts up again.

Oh well, misery loves company :)

I think I’m going to turn over a new leaf this school year…

I did less. Worked at a three day camp for four weeks, went on vacation, and visited a college. Still haven’t started my summer work. Not exactly ground breaking or anything.

I literally slept at least 12 hours daily this summer, I basically just chilled with friends, hung out, played sports once in a while, watched movies, went to beaches, spent a lot of time in front of my computer…etc.

As junior year’s starting in about a week or so, and this is one year where I’ll actually have to put in some effort, I thought it’d be nice to relax the summer.

As long as you spend your schoolyear productive, that’s enough; to repeat, summer’s a time to relax and if you aren’t feeling too behind with your stuff, it’s fine to chill…

I completely feel like I wasted my summer. I intended to go to basketball camp, volunteer, get my AP summer work done earlier than the day before school starts, do SAT prep, etc., and none of it happened. I think it’s okay to have a summer to relax, though…we all need a break at some point.

Lol, I was going to take Cooking classes , Self-study 3 AP’s Read all the material for my AcDec class Study for the A+ certification and Study Chess. None of the happened. Very sad I even set up a schedule for every day of the SUmmer which took me like 5 hours to create. Everyday If i read consistently it would have taken me 9 hours a day which i thought i could do but …yeh.

I didn’t do anything either:/ Unless I can put studied a little for the SAT and did AP homework on my application, what I did over the summer is going to be blank:/ Next year will be different though! I will be able to drive myself places! I couldn’t do anything because my parents work full time:(

He was also getting 700 weekly post counts.
Lolz.

I didn’t do much anything either. =P
BBcode fail.

I was going to take a practice SAT every week. Run 4 blocks everyday. Watch season 1-4 of the office. Start my summer reading. Try and get a job. Order all my prepping books. Start self studying for 3 APs. Watch some french films to further increase my [lack thereof] language skills. Read atleast half the books for AP Lit. Register for the ACT (i have to take it in october now). Practice driving. Visit some colleges. Follow my commitment of going down the shore atleast once a week. Learn and cook atleast one meal. I DID NONE OF THIS. IM ONE OF HSL’S TOP POSTERS AND WAS ON CCISLULZ SINCE THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER.

Well anyway about two weeks left (sept. 10) my mom is letting me work part time at her office. I have plans to visit some PA schools in a week. And I’m finishing up my essays and starting the common app. I wasted my summer just chilling with my friends and being on CC. I’m pretty motivated right now though… Hence my lack of posts recently.
