Did I lower my chances by applying in late January?

<p>I applied to UT Austin in late January. I figured that since it wasnt rolling admission, that it did matter,</p>

<p>I also applied to Baylor (which is most definitely a saftey for me based on my stats) in early December, but my HS counselor took awhile sending my transcript. I recently got an email from Baylor saying theyd admitted a record number of applicants, and are mostly wait listing people now.</p>

<p>Im really angry because </p>

<p>1-UT Austin is my target school</p>

<p>2-Can Baylor really waitlist someone with a 2100 SAT score?</p>

<p>Colleges do weird things sometimes. Theres not really one formula to them - each takes different things into consideration.</p>

<p>Ex. I have a friend /w a 2350 SAT and a 4.0 UW, pretty much perfect student, and he was rejected from UCSD but got accepted to berkley. It depends.</p>
