I took the ssats last year and am a freshman at Loomis Chaffee.
I recieved 99 percentile for reading comp, 99 for verbal, 91 for math, with a 99 overall. I had a GPA over 4.0 at a very good middle school. I applied to exeter, choate, and LC. I was accepted into all. I went to Loomis (as a day student.) Did i make a wrong decision? What would you have done in my shoes?

thanks

Who gives a ****? You made the decision, so yeah. It doesn't really matter that much.

Followed my heart. There are too many decisions I would have changed in my past now that I think of it. Yet the sum of my decisions equates to my position today, which I am satisfied. We should learn from the past not dwell over it.

Well it's what you make of your time at Loomis that is going to determine if you made the right choice or not.

yes. SOrry, I didn't read the post.

well how do you feel in Loomis now?

you people worry about ***en high school too much......wait till college time comes :)

yeah.....it doesnt matter very much where you go to high school as long as you do well

i don't know i would have personally favored exeter though..

but isn't it too late now?

Exeter!!!!!!!!!!!! BOARDING!

Prep schools are lame. Just go public. You can definitely still succeed in life AND get into college having gone to a public school.

yeah but statistcs show that more percentage of kids from boarding schools get into colleges than from public schools.

Leah how dare you say that!!!!!!!

Not always true. A 4.0 at one school doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as a 4.0 from another school...

I see nothing wrong with going to a prep school. How is it "lame"?

Thats what I'm saying KMK! What is leah talking about!

It's lame because you're exposed to no diversity and are surrounded by people who think they're better than "common folk."

Have you ever even been to a prep school? Snobby people and no-diversity exist everywhere.

My friend went to one for a year, and I trust her judgement more than anyone's.

Obviously there will be exceptions, but I would overwhelmingly rather shoot myself than attend a prep school.

Well, it's definitely your opinion, but one person's experience can't reflect what all prep school experiences are like.
