looking through some of the comments from another thread, most people recommend a science, a math, and something else, possibly a history. I've already gotten one test out of the way (Bio), and I know I am going to have to take Math II. However, I also feel quite confident about chemistry, and I have already started studying for it. That makes 3 tests in total. Do some colleges require a specific science? For example, lets say that I want to major in engineering. Would the colleges I apply to want physics, or is it a preference that really isn't going to matter??

It doesn’t matter.
The most specific a college will say is “take a math/science subject test.”
They can’t control specifically which you will take because not everyone will have learned the particular subject.

Actually, it can matter. It can be an asset to show that you have width along with depth – so instead of Math, Bio, Chemistry (all science), a super selective school might be more impressed to see Math, Bio and French (or history, or . . . ). My son took the two maths and the chemistry and it was “recommended” to him by an admissions officer that he show some more spectrum in his testing.
