Did I miss SAT score sending deadline (Yale/Stanford)?

I'm applying to Stanford and Yale, but I just realized that I forgot to send SAT and SAT subject test scores. If I pay and send it tonight, will that be okay? Or do the scores have to be in hand by the RD deadline (Jan. 1)?

If you send them right away with “rush” option they will arrive at admissions in 2 business days.

Yale will accept people’s January sitting. Your current scores certainly will be acceptable to them – just order and don’t worry.

As for Stanford, they say December is the last sitting. However, I’ve seen many colleges advise against “rush” sending. It’s not as if your entire file will be completed at a finger’s snap anyway.

I heard that colleges discourage “rush” sending, and that it doesn’t make a difference?

If I have to go through all that, I probably won’t submit. I didn’t think the sat sending deadline was strict, but I haven’t been able to find info on their websites!

The scores can be sent after the deadline. Just get the general application in before Jan.1 There’s no need to rush them.

“rush” sending isn’t worth the money. Most colleges accepts scores that come in after the deadline. “rushing” scores a) doesn’t actually do anything and b) it’s a super waste of money

Yeah i’ve been done with testing since last year, just worried about the scores getting there in time. Now i’m reassured!

Don’t rush send, unless you want to waste your money. Many colleges understand that test scores take a while to process, and there are so many to process-- that you won’t be penalized if your scores are a few days late. Don’t worry about it. You’re fine. Just send them regularly now.
