Did I miss something?

My D and I visited Ole Miss on a very rainy day. I am sure this really hurt the tour. I did not see the beauty of this campus at all. There were construction projects occurring everywhere. It was rather disappointing and a big letdown. Now, we did visit the Croft Institute and met with one of the program directors. He was absolutely awesome. The program made the school my D's top choice by FAR. When is the best month to visit?

@frugaldoctor Rainy days don’t make campus look nice. You should visit on another day in the fall during better weather. I hope that you understand that construction projects are happening to make the campus better. They’re inevitable and necessary evils. They’ll make facilities that students use better! Glad you enjoyed Croft! You should prob also look into the Barksdale Honors College.

My son and I have visited the campus twice…once last October and once in July during a “Get Ready for Ole Miss” program. It was absolutely gorgeous weather when we were there in October…blue sky, mid 70’s, beautiful fall foliage trees! He feel in love with the place! During our July visit it was rainy and humid and did not offer the same opportunity to enjoy the campus. I suggest you visit again if you have another opportunity and you may change your mind about the compact campus that we found very beautiful and welcoming.
