I planned to make this sophomore year amazing, but I slacked off too much and ended up with two BS (4 Bs when put together with last year) and the rest of my grades are As. My newspaper club still doesn’t do much, but I’m going to be the president of the club next year so MAYBE I can change it. I’m in swim club and am still waiting to see if I got onto my school’s swim team. I’m also going to be an Eagle Scout. I don’t know my exact grades right now, but I have 4 Bs in total. My weighted GPA is 3.6, which is TERRIBLE. I also most likely failed my two AP tests. Is my life over?! Since last summer I’ve wanted to go somewhere nice like NYU and had planned to do great this year, but I was lazy again! I definitely cared and tried more this school year than last school year, though. Am I even worth it anymore?
It’s never too late, change today instead of moping.
Junior year is the most critical year for college admissions so you could still be in good shape if you do well. By now hopefully you’ve been able to internalize your mistakes to improve next year.
No it’s not too late. You still have semesters left to turn things around. Colleges look for the upward trend. Start working hard now. You can make the change happen, if you work hard enough.
How do you have a 3.6 W if you have only 4 B’s?? I have 3 B’s and a C+ (so technically 5 B’s), and my current gpa is a 3.8. Are you sure 3.6 is right? It might be higher. Wait but what is your UW?
