Did I screw up getting into UChicago?

ok, so I am interested in UChicago but I am not gonna lie, I kind of rushed my application. My creative essay was great (at least I think so) but the “Why Us” essay I messed up. Basically, I ended up writing a good story and talked about how I think I would flourish as that college but after I submitted I realized I should have been specific as in listing what programs and teachers I am interested in. I am sad because I really like the school but I feel the admissions officers will think I don’t care about them!
stats:
Female, want to study Environmental science and Chem
GPA- 4.0 unweighted 4.2 weighted
ACT- 32 composite 33 superscore
Senior Class President
Captain of Varsity Cross Country Team and 4-year letterman (also in track but not captain)
Captain of my high school drumline
Founded an environmental club that cares for bees
National Poetry contest winner twice and have been published twice
Had an internship with my state university, studied fluctuations of the water quality of a local watershed
summer job before junior and senior year
Low income and deceased parent (sorry if that’s TMI) I included that was because I wrote about it in my Personal statement

Thanks and also do we need to schedule an interview or will they contact me?

They don’t ask you to list what programs and teachers. They want to see some excitement and understanding of what the college is about and looks for, some sense of your curiosity. That sense of match. Maybe you did fine.
