just wondering...

supplement on the common app.

no, they have not downloaded mine

Same here
10Char

How can you tell if they downloaded it?

It says it on the commonapp next to the supplement

Bump. Does anyone have any progress regarding this issue?

Nope, but I was reading on Penn’s forums how most of their materials haven’t been downloaded yet either, so I’m not surprised.

Really…? Penn’s notifications are out on the 10th though. Are adcoms seriously gonna use just 10-15 days for the supplements? I thought the Why Penn essay was an extremely vital part of their evaluation, but apparently even ED applicants get just a very minimal amount of time. Anyways, best of luck Anouchi. I hope we can see each other next year at Hopkins. I’ll be sure to wear a big sign with “R3d3mpti0n - CC” on it :P

Haha that would be awesome! We’ll make it a thing for all CC acceptees to make shirts with their usernames on them and wear them to the admit days or whatever Hopkins has for admits lol

^haha that would be funny.

I was reading on the Columbia thread that the admissions will start to do the full force app reading after Thanksgiving break…that’s weird.
But is anyone else following admissions_daniel on twitter?
In early-mid November, he stated that he had begun app reading.

I can’t go on twitter 'cause it’s GFW’d (great firewalled) here. I’m guessing admissions will start supplements and go full force after Thanksgiving, but why would they take so long to start?

mine says in progress :/

I could be wrong, but I think “in progress” means that you’re still working on it… meaning you might not have submitted yet (it says in progress on all my apps that I haven’t submitted yet).

idk…only “school forms” says “in progress”… how do you know if jhu downloaded your supplement then?
does your “school forms” says “completed” ?

My “school forms” tab says assigned but everything is highlighted green and when I look at each LOR and Grade report, it says “Downloaded by College”. The rest of my application says “complete” except application which says downloaded by college. I don’t know if they’ll report if they’ve downloaded our supplement, but if they do, it’ll say downloaded by college, I believe.

goddagotocollege-- Did you apply ED? be/c if something says “in progress”, that usually means it wasn’t submitted.

ooooo my school report, recommendations, and ED agreement have been downloaded :p

Eh, I wonder if they already read my school report and recs. But, I guess I’ll have to wait till after Thanksgiving before I see my supplements downloaded, probably the last step to making their final decision? :p

I read a post on the hopkins-insider blog that they’ll start evaluating after Thanksgiving, so we should be fine. They also said that if we are missing any parts of the application, they will simply ask us to provide us with that info and we are given an opportunity to submit said items. Don’t sweat it guys, they’re trying to accept us not necessarily reject us :)

Has anybody’s supplement been downloaded yet? Mine still has not! Thanksgivingday has passed and JH admission office should have started evaluating the supplments after the Thanksgiving according to some previous poster on this thread.
There are less than two weeks left until the ED decision release date. I do not know how the JH admission offfice will go over 1330 ED applicants’ supplements in that seemingly short amount of time…?
Have they began reviewing the supplments and it’s just not my turn yet?
I’m getting really nervous! Do they bother not to look at my supplement if my application is not good enough?(SATs)

According to JHU admissions, they look at all applications holistically. I’m sure Hopkins has started looking at supplements, but just hasn’t gone to yours yet. Btw, mine hasn’t been DLed either.
