I'm a 4.0 student and I'm currently taking 7 ap classes. Out of these 8 classes that I have, all but chemistry are AP and in all honesty, chemistry is the hardest than all of them combined. I did 4 worksheets that were worth like 20% of my grade reaching nearly 200 points. I turned all of them in after verifying with the teacher herself that all were checked off. 2 weeks passed and were here at the end of the term. I noticed at the week before the term ended that none of my assignments were passed. I went to go confront her this morning and she said she didn't receive any of them. ! I CHECKED OFF EVERY SINGLE ONE WITH HER! I even told her and she said she can't recall doing it. I was literally about to scream. It dropped my grade from an A to a c- and I can't do all about it. I don't know what to do anymore. She won't acknowledge my claims at all. She is literally one of the dumbest teachers I've ever encountered. Is there anyway to drop the class before the term ends? It ends on thursday and I really want to drop this class. There is no other way around this C- and it is all her fault and I can't do ***. Pls help....

TL;DR: Did all assignments that were worth alot of my grade and she lost all of them. Gives me c- from A. Can I drop the class still?

it depends on your school, whether or not you can drop the class. but don’t you need chemistry to graduate? do you still have the assignments, or did she collect them? i would see if anyone else who’s in your class has a similar problem.

but the one thing that usually works? get your parents involved. honestly, if your parents act super angry at the teacher, and they call the principle, etc. you will probably get what you want. your parents have way more power than you.

Ya I already tried my parents, She just said it’s his fault he wasnt able to keep my assignments organized enough. She really ****es me off. Im taking this class online, she is such an airhead…

same thing happen to my son, but we noticed the missing assigment couple of weeks after he turned in. According to my son, this teacher tends to be absent minded. so when she ignored my son’s plead, i wrote her a nice email, asking her why my son has a zero for the assigment and do i need to get more involved and all of a sudden she found the assigment and corrected the grade.

in your situation, if there’s no history you missing assignments from any of your current and paat class, have you parents get involved.

Maybe bring another student with you who can tell the teacher they saw you turn them in.

Another option would be to go talk to some with more authority in your school like your principle. They might be able to help you get around the teacher.

Another way you could try and raise your grade back to the a is you can ask if you can do some extra credit work as you feel the c does not demonstrate your fullest ability.

In the future have the teacher sign a piece of paper that you keep when you turn something in so she can never accuse you of not turning something in…

I’ve narrowed it down to one option. There is no way to get past her. My only choice is to drop this class, I can’t do anything about this, even if I get my principal involved. She is that blunt. I asked her if she believed in me and she said she didn’t. She said maybe if I had a “better history” then she would. Like I seriously have never met a more blunt woman. The only reason for her to not think I have a good history is because I never answer questions in the class because I’d rather have someone who didn’t know the material answer it. I have to drop this class I just wanna make sure I can there are 3 days left of the term. I don’t care if I don’t receive credit I have enough credits right now to graduate as a junior anyway. For the love of god I don’t want a C though

I know alot of students have gotten super low scores from her class. She is literally a nazi. If you don’t exactly replicate HER work on a test you will lose points regardless of what answer you got. I myself hate to show lots of work and I’ve failed every single test so far. However, that is off topic. I don’t think a lawyer is necessary.

This story seems a bit odd…if you have failed every single test so far- as stated above- how did you have an A? The worksheets seem to be the least of your worries…

“I’ve failed every single test so far”…is an odd way to refer to one test…if this is truly what happened you have to get your parents involved again, with an administrator and retell the entire story- even to the point of recalling what was on the worksheets…
If the story is not quite what you are saying…drop quickly…
