Did not get an open house invitation from UCLA...

Does anyone else think there might be a correlation between where one lives and whether or not they received an invite?
If you received one, can you tell us whether or not you live in SoCal?

I find that maybe they think inviting students from NorCal or OOS would be pointless because it's out of the way? I don't know.

Thoughts?

Are you talking about the STEM invite? I got the invitation and i live in socal, pretty close to UCLA too. What’s your major? It’s meant for "underrepresented science/engineering/mathematics major students, so it depends on your major, income, ethnicity…etc. I also think they would send them to mostly people in the area but not too sure.

I am an architecture major and I heard the Arts & Architecture dept send out an invite as well…

I received the invite to the A&A open house.
I live in SoCal, about an hour away from campus.

Math major, didn’t receive one. Live about 3 hours away. Still went for the Health open house because our school sent their health group so I just went for the trip lol. Forgot the STEM one was the same day so didn’t attend that one.

I don’t get it people. The definition of “Open House” is that it is open for everyone. So what if you did not receive an invite? It’s open house. Just go!

Some “open houses” are invite only though, such as the A&A open house.

I went to the STEM open house and you had to RSVP for it as well as check-in when you got there. I live in the San Diego area, but it was for those in STEM majors who are also fiscally or ethnically underrepresented.
