Did not receive a Cal Grant... What about Competitive?

<p>I was below the GPA for Cal Grant A, and my mother's total income if 46,000 USD a year passed the 36,000 dollar threshold for a household of three. We have no money for my college expenses. I will have to rely on the Writing Scholarships that I have applied to.</p>

<p>I was told on FAFSA that I was elligible for a 2,500 dollar Pell Grant. Is this definite? How do I receive the grant?</p>

<p>If my GPA verification is 2.59, and my mother is earning around 46,000 a year ( I will be attending a CSU after high school), is there a probability that I cab receive a Competitive Cal Grant?</p>

– Competitive Cal Grant applicants are ranked based on disadvantagedstudent indicators from the FAFSA that include your family income and household size, parent’s education level, student or parent household status and disadvantaged high school experience or re-entry student status, along with your GPA. Your combined score using this information was below the minimum cut-off necessary for an award. Only 11,250 awards are available and all students cannot be offered assistance.
