Did not receive SAT scores late reminder letter from National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

My sons application had someone else’s SAT scores recorded on it and he was denied advancement to Finalist standing. We call in early Jan and were told by NMSC that his application was complete. On Jan 16th he received a letter stating that his SAT from June 2015 was not good enough(he never took the test in June only Dec 2015). He received a 214 on his PSAT and a 2240 on the SAT. College Board SAT test results we ordered on Dec 18th but never sent to NMSC, they are still “pending” today, 34 days later. It took 4 days but NMSC says now they never received his scores and the other test scores were mistakenly put in his file which showed it as complete.

I have no time left and it is impossible to reach anyone at CB/SAT. I would like to know if anyone received a reminder letter from National Merit Scholarship Corporation that they needed to submit SAT test scores because they did not receive them yet. If you did receive a reminder letter did it state Jan 31st as the last day to submit SAT test scores?

We received a reminder mid December. I went online to SAT and paid for rush delivery (3 day). After 5 days it still said pending. I called SAT and they told us that they were not guaranteeing rush delivery and that they would have the scores to NM(National Merit) by the 30th. I talked to NM and they knew about the delays with SAT. The scores did arrive on Dec. 30. However, NM told us that as long as they received the SAT scores by Jan. 31, the student is still eligible to advance to finalist standing if they meet all of the requirementa, but they would not be eligible for the $2500 scholarships. I would call NM back.
