Did OSU raise their standards for some financial scholarships?

Does anyone know if OSU raised their ACT levels for some merit based scholarships from last year to this year?

I don't know...but you need a 32 for the full-ride one...which..is a shame (i have a 30)

Yes, OSU completely revamped their merit aid for '07, so a lot of the more generous packages (like full ride, full tuition, so on) are now only available to those who have a 32+ ACT or equivalent SAT. I know one of the opportunities they changed was who will be invited to the Maximus Competition (essay writing contest), which was originally a 29+ ACT (now I think it's 30?). They said they are getting too many overqualified prospective students.

what is the sat equivalent?

For the Maximus Scholarship (Dec. 1 deadline), which is a $2,700/year award, you need to have a 32+ ACT or a SAT equivalent of 1420+ and be ranked in the top 3% of your class. If you qualify, you are invited to the writing competition for Medalist and Presidential scholarships, which basically pay full for tuition (so that previous post I made, I was wrong -- you need a 32, not 30).

SAT includes CR and M, not W.
