Did poorly in Orgo I, so now how do I get an A in Orgo II?

I got a B in Orgo I last semester. A combination of not working hard enough and taking on too many other difficult/time-consuming classes at the same time resulted in this.

Now after a summer of working two jobs with no time to review any orgo, I'm trying to get psyched to tackle Orgo II.

I really want an A this time around. And I'm willing to work hard for it. I'm even taking easier classes and dropping a few credits from last semester so that I have more time to focus on orgo this semester. But I'm scared I haven't mastered the fundamental Orgo I concepts I need to do well in Orgo II so I'm doomed to do poorly again.

What are some study tips/general advice you have for me, a student who is hoping to perform much better/get a higher grade that what he earned in Orgo I?

lol @ a B being “poor”

Understand how each mechanism works, why the reagents are being used and how to “build” molecules. Use Organic Chemistry as a Second Language (the second semester book).

The only way is to work hard. Orgo reguire huge commitment, not much more than that.

i thought orgo 2 was easier
