The part where it says LESS ANTICIPATED FIN AID on mine: http://i26.■■■■■■■.com/2akfntv.png

Crap I don’t have that… I wonder if it’s because of the exit loan requirement or something else…

Sorry to intrude, but like TMT90, I looked at my tuition bill and it doesn’t have the financial aid deduction like yours does Y2K.

On my CASH page, it says that I’ve completed all my requirements, so am I in the clear or should I be worried that it doesn’t have the anticipated financial bill deduction on my bill yet?

Did you actually accept your award? Does your CASH page look like this:

http://i32.■■■■■■■.com/x4hw6t.png

Mine is identical to that, except that I also have the MPN requirement up, even though I already signed it. I know it disappears after the loan has disbursed and I have accepted my awards for this year.

^ My MPN notice disappeared a day or so after I filled it out. Are you sure you completed it fully and properly? This may be the reason the funds are not appearing on your tuition bill page.

This was true last year too, it disappeared early on after I completed it, not when funds are disbursed.

I’m certain I did it correctly. I even logged into my account to make sure it was completed, and the system recognized I had a completed and signed MPN. Last year my MPN stayed up for a while until my loans were processed. I’m definitely concerned now, not only because of the exit loan requirement but also because my tuition bill does not recognize I have financial aid and my MPN requirement is still displayed when it is not for you. I’ll try calling OSFS tomorrow assuming i’m not on hold for an hour.

It’s a federal direct loan, right? What does it say on this page? <a href=“Federal Student Aid”>Federal Student Aid;

(If that link doesn’t work, just login on studentloans.gov, click “My Profile” and click “Completed MPNs” on the left menu)

Also do you have PLUS loans too? If so, it might be different for you than me, as I don’t have PLUS loans.

I don’t have any PLUS loans. This was the website I had looked at previously for confirmation of my completed of MPN, and here it says it has been completed March 25, 2010. I wonder if they working on processing these loans alphabetically? My last initial is T, so i’m at the lower end. I read on the OSFS website that they begin processing loans in mid to late July, so perhaps this will clear for me. What i’m mostly worried about is my tuition bill and why it doesn’t recognize my financial aid, even though I selected “pay with financial aid.”

^My MPN requirement was there for almost 2 months after I did it. I checked to make sure I did it correctly, which I did, and decided to do just do it again. 2 days later UT took the requirement off, so maybe try doing it again?

Also, I accepted my financial aid, the page you printscreened looks exactly like mine except that it states that I have nothing to complete.

Here is a FAQ from the “My tuition bill help” page:

"I paid my tuition and fees using my financial aid. Why does the My Tuition Bill page still show a balance due?

There will be a balance due until the financial aid funds have been applied to your Tuition and Fees bill. Go to the CA$H web site for more information about your financial aid funds. "

…and yet, WTK has the deduction already made. Ugh this is all so frustrating.

I didn’t even get my financial aid until the middle of June and my last name starts with a V… so I don’t think that’s why.

@lockdown22, so you don’t have the whole “Exit Loan Counseling” error there? Or did you not take out any loans?

As far as it applying financial aid, on mine it has already applied, but I still have a balance due. For some people who have financial aid take care of 100% of tuition, there is a different button they have to click for things like that.

I’m taking out some loans, but I’ve had my Direct Loan counseling requirement cleared for some months now.

^ Right, but this says exit counseling because of some error that happened a while back where a bunch of people (I thought everybody, actually) had this message appear. They sent out an email about how it’s an error and that we don’t need to do anything to get it corrected.

I’d say, we stop worrying about anything, and just call tomorrow or sometime this week and see what’s up, if anybody feels personally concerned. My guess is that everything is fine and they’re just working on things and will have it done before the 11th.

Here’s what my CASH page looks like:

And yeah, you’re probably right. I’ll end up calling tomorrow just to make sure that my finaid is going through.

I spoke with the financial aid office this morning. Lockdown, we have nothing to worry about. The woman I spoke with said that the reason why the tuition bill doesn’t have the anticipated financial aid deduction is because that only occurs when financial aid doesn’t cover all of tuition. I know my financial aid covers all of my tuition, so I am assuming yours does too. Also to anyone who still has the exit loan counseling requirement, that will “fall off” eventually if you are indeed enrolled full-time. Also lockdown I took your advice last night and re-did my MPN and today it was removed on my CASH page. I don’t know why it didn’t work the first time, but it’s gone now so that’s all I care about.

Awesome.

Thanks, TMT for letting me know, and yeah, my fin aid does cover full tuition.

Yeah if you’re eligible for zero bill, you just click a button that says “pay with financial aid” and that covers registration. That red text that says “YOUR REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE” will change to “Your registration is complete” in green once you’ve done that. If you don’t by the 11th at 5pm, you lose your registration and your classes.
