Forgive me if this has been discussed, but my power has just been restored since the hurricane and I’m trying to catch up. I had it in my head that the October SAT scores would be released October 20, but I jut checked College Board and it said October 27. Was that always the release ate and I was mistaken, or was it changed?
I believe it has always been Oct. 27.

No, last week the CB website stated it was 10/20, but now this has been pushed back to 10/27.
College Board said it was always 10/27, but there may have been a website date error that popped up last week.

Well I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who saw October 20th as the release date at one point in time! I even had it written on my planner. Oh well, guess we will wait an extra week. Thank you for your responses!

Same I really needed them earlier! Oh well 10/27 is fine I guess but does anyone know how long scores take to be sent to colleges? I picked the 4 free already but I need to send to a bunch more and they need to receive them 11/1
Score reports ordered outside registration will be delivered weekly.
Scores ordered during SAT registration will be delivered in two batches to accommodate scoring of the SAT Essay. Most scores will be delivered in Batch 1. Batch 2 will include up to 25 percent of test-takers.
Rush scores will be delivered within two business days.

Did you order scores when you registered to take the test? If so, Oct 26th or Oct 30th, per CB.
For ones not yet ordered, it appears they will be pushed out on Oct 30th.
Colleges pull down the scores on their own schedule–some daily, some weekly. But you will not be penalized if your scores arrive after Nov 1st as long as your app is filed on time.
Thanks for the info CT1417. What is your source? Just to be clear, are you saying that if I log onto my college board account at 5 AM on October 27th and order score reports the usual way ($12) these will be sent by October 30th? I was under the impression I would need to pay the additional fee for a “rush report” if I wanted my scores sent that quickly.
That was from the CB website but I no longer have the page open. Perhaps paste the language into your search window and see what appears.
I will caution that last year’s rush score reporting was a debacle where CB refunded money b/c they could not fulfill rush requests. I would give them a call and confirm. Are you trying to wait to see your scores before sending?
@blink24, you might want to call your schools that need the scores by 11/1. The EA schools with 11/1 deadlines that my S is sending scores to all said they would take the CB scores after that date, some as late as 12/1, as long as the apps were sent in time. Call them to be sure.
Yes, I am waiting to see the scores first before I send them. College Board twitter feed said rush reports go out within 2-4 business days. The 27th is a Thursday so 2 business days is the 31st and 4 days is the second. One of the schools I am sending to is okay with scores arriving a few days late; the other won’t officially say it is allowable. Both of these schools already have complete applications so these scores would just be additional information. All of this may be irrelevant if the scores are lower than in the past but if they are higher then I definitely want them to be taken into consideration.
